Welcome to closing night of Seattle's March Is Cabaret Month Festival 2017!

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents:
JULIE CASCIOPPO

Seattle entertainment landmark Julie Cascioppo comes in many flavors, from sultry jazz singer to hilarious monologuist. A show from Julie is always unpredictable, and always classic.

JULIE CASCIOPPO

Julie Cascioppo, jazz vocal stylist, has thrilled and entranced audiences in the finest nightclubs on four continents - bringing her husky, reedy trained contralto, her vast and ever-expanding repertoire of songs, and her theatrical presence to New York, Paris, Rio de Janeiro, Istanbul and beyond. She is a jazz and goodwill ambassador who warms the heart and puts a smile on the face of a troubled world! A longtime headliner at Seattle's prestigious Pink Door Cabaret and one of Seattle's most visible songstresses, Julie has been featured on numerous television shows and at Bumbershoot, Seattle's great international arts festival.

MARCH IS CABARET MONTH Presents:
JOHN ENGERMAN in "GAGGLE: A MOTHER GOOSE CABARET FOR ADULTS."

Mother Goose is just for children, right? Wrong. Come hear classic nursery rhymes expanded and set to original swing, rock, Latin and showbiz music, revealing aspects of those familiar verses you've never heard before in this new show from John Engerman, one of Seattle's most lively and inventive pianists and arrangers. With Lance Lu on drums.

JOHN ENGERMAN

John has been writing, arranging, music directing and playing for theatrical productions since the mid 70s.  As a composer, highlights include Ronnie Bwana - Jungle Guide, The Big Bad Wolf (and How He Got That Way), Ming the Rude (Empty Space Theatre), The Ballad of Mary Reade, (Bathhouse Theatre), and Prince Brat and the Whipping Boy (Seattle Children's Theatre).  Cabaret shows featuring his arrangements of others' tunes include The Fabulous Sateens, The Sirens of Swing, and numerous one-woman shows with his wife, Jayne Muirhead.
